Massive Damage rules
We should implement the Massive damage rules across the board for this game. This should be doable without any major complication of the game.
There are two options here i think:
1. Standard rules: Anytime any character be they PC or monster/enemy take 50hps in a single hit they must roll DC15 fort save or suffer consequences.
2. HD-Based Threshold
A character’s massive damage threshold is equal to 25, +2 per Hit Die. Whenever a character takes damage from a single hit that equals or exceeds this value, he must succeed on a DC 15 Fortitude save or suffer the effects of massive damage.
For example, a 5th-level human fighter has a massive damage threshold of 35 (25 + [2 × 5]). A fire giant has a massive damage threshold of 55 (25 + [2 × 15]).
I prefer option 2 as its scalable for the party. The higher you go the more damage you can take in a single hit. ultimately massive damage only really affects tank creatures as mages dont often have that many hps ;-)
